PRIORITY PATIENT ADVOCATES

Mary saw first-hand how patients and their families struggled when receiving a challenging medical diagnosis. She saw how overwhelming it could be to understand the diagnosis, deal with confusing medical terminology, and coordinate between doctors, specialists, insurance companies, hospitals, and rehabilitation facilities. She observed individuals struggle with knowing what questions to ask or whether asking questions is appropriate. As a result, they might not have gotten the greatest results or may have missed alternative possibilities that would have been better for their care. Mary is dedicated to giving her clients peace of mind knowing that all options for their healthcare have been explored.

Mary was the first person her friends and family turned to when they struggled with an illness.
She immediately stepped in to help them understand the diagnosis and treatment plan, attended appointments, explained medications and lab results, and ensured they had all the information they needed to make informed decisions about their medical treatment. Mary also ensured they had important decision-related healthcare documents such as a Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare and Advance Directives.

Mary’s passion for this area led her to start Priority Patient Advocates. Her goal is to help patients, and their caregivers navigate the healthcare system to achieve optimal results.

Priority PA works with the following organizations to maintain the best and most up-to-date resources on healthcare trends and continuing education in patient advocacy
